In map view (only) the selected note's link controls include an 'x' icon allowing that note to be deleted.
In other views, the source note of the unwanted link must be selected and then the Browse Links pop-over used to delete the link from the dialog's list of outbound links.
A note's Roadmap, especially in torn-off dialog form, can be useful when tracing the source note of links.
