When editing a note name, pressing Return (↩) closes the edit, with focus remaining on the current note.
From v11.0.0, previous methods to split a note whilst in this edit state have been removed as they proved problematic for general use.
A note can still be split from within $Text, i.e. with focus in the Text pane and the cursor in the $Text area. This feature is accessed from the Note menu.
